Hi, I’m Jaycel Murphy.
I wasn’t always tidy. Growing up, my room was constantly cluttered; it was my little secret, and it was overwhelming.
My mom would do a “reset” every year, tidying everything up—but most of what she deemed junk ended up in black garbage bags, likely headed straight to the landfill. I remember feeling ashamed of not knowing how to care for my belongings and guilty for the waste. That experience planted a seed, sparking a deeper awareness of the impact of clutter on our well-being and the environment.
Today, that journey has shaped Love Cleaning. As a Registered Social Service Worker with 15 years in housing and homelessness, I founded Love Cleaning with a focus on helping people navigate their cluttered spaces without judgment. I know firsthand the emotional burden clutter can bring, and I believe everyone deserves a clean, organized space that reflects their values.
At Love Cleaning, we combine eco-friendly practices with a non-judgmental approach. We don’t just clean homes; we educate clients on sustainable practices that make a lasting impact. For example, we partner with textile recycling organizations to reduce waste, especially polyfiber, commonly found in homes. Our ultimate goal is to launch a grassroots eco conscious program to turn donated materials into raw resources, creating a closed-loop system that supports industry.
